Since moving to a rural area, Rod finds it difficult to find appliance parts dealers or repair people.
“Our life situation has changed,” said Rod. “My wife and I are both students now. While I used to call for service, we now have to save money by trying to make repairs ourselves.”
Such was the case when their dryer broke.
Rod saw RepairClinic in the yellow pages and decided to try out the website.
“I was able to research the part I needed – a belt, and RepairClinic provided enough detail so I was sure I was ordering the exact part I needed.”
Rod ordered the part, received it a few days later and made the repair himself.
“Overall, I spent several hours disassembling, researching and repairing the dryer,” he said. “I’d have had to pay at least $100 to hire a repair person to do the same work.”
Welcome to the proud ranks of do-it-yourselfers Rod, and congratulations on being RepairClinic’s Do-It-Yourselfer of the Week.
